Just shy of 13 ½ years old.
This dog was so full of life. She had the most vibrant personality. She always shined in her everyday life and definitely shined in the ring. Her heart of gold and her endearing love is what made her such a special dog. Life to her was about the adventure. She loved camping, especially at Sun Lakes every year where she could dive off the dock and swim all day. She also acquired the ability to dive for rocks, then bring them to shore to build her pile. Most of the time she could barely carry them back; they were so big. She was a true athlete and was my constant running partner till right before she left us. Food was always her motivation. You had to be careful that when you fed her a treat she wouldn’t take your fingers off. That’s how she got the nickname the Piranha. But she was adored by everyone that knew her.
She had a wonderful show career, getting her first points at 6 months, then winning Best Puppy at the Sporting Dogs Spectacular and being invited to the prestigious Top 20 Best Puppy competition. As a veteran she took multiple BVISS at our local Specialties, also placing in the Veteran Sweepstakes class at a couple of National Specialties. She loved the show ring and what made her shine as a veteran was the way she moved around the ring as if to say, “everyone look at me!”
She was missed by her best buddy Tazz and Pixie the cat. And she is still missed. She lived a long, happy life, and was so loved.
