“What Goes Around, Comes Around…Keep the Circle Positive, Peaceful and Loving”
That’s the little sign saying with the word Karma in the middle neatly tucked in a frame with her picture. Karma was my first co-bred Champion bitch with Tonya and the first to have a River Road Golden Retriever Kennel prefix. She and her “famous” brother, Vegas, definitely taught us the meaning of “Karma”! And if you read the stories of her mother, Lyra and her father, Chaos, you can begin to see how “Karma” came about!
Karma was WB at the 2008 GRCA Western Regional along side her brother, Vegas, who was WD/BOW under Judge Virginia Lyne and completed her CH with 4 majors at the Pac Rim Golden Retriever Specialty under Judge Elliot More. She quickly completed her GCH when it first became available with 5 majors and even took a road trip up to Canada to gain her Canadian Championship. She did all this winning with her side kick brother, Vegas, always by her side!
At the 2008 GRCA National, her father, Chaos, was Best of Breed and she following right behind in her father’s pawprints, she received a JAM under judge Jeffrey Pepper. Fast forward 2 years and at the 2010 GRCA National under judge Heinrich Fryckstrand of Dewmist Kennels in Sweden, her father, Chaos won Best of Breed and she received a judges Award of Merit. And then again, fast forward, and at the 2014 GRCA National in Fletcher North Carolina under Judge Carol Morrision from Canada, she was Best Veteran in Sweepstakes with Tonya taking Best in Sweepstakes with McClain. Oh what days!
Between all the showing, Karma took some time for motherhood. In 2017, Karma became an Outstanding Dam with 5 Champions from her litters with Vision and Kirby.
Karma lived to 15 years of age and definitely “ruled” in our house! She loved the game, the travel, the antics and the podium! In my mind, Karma is my “ideal” bitch. I loved her head piece, her body, her movement…you get the gist! She definitely was my girl and loved to show and be shown!
I always say that Chaos gave us Dream, Believe and Achieve and Vegas gave us the world! And Karma…..she gave us Karma! The perfect gift from my perfect girl!
