From the day he came home, Freeman claimed a special place in our lives. An energetic puppy obsessed with small, green spherical objects that loved swimming and had an impressive water entry. He grew into a dynamic show dog that loved every aspect of the sport.
In the words of Dr. Suess:
“Oh, the places you’ll go! There is fun to be done! There are points to be scored. There are games to be won.”
“Congratulations! Today is your day. You’re off to great places! You’re off and away!”
“And will you succeed? Yes, you will indeed!”
And Succeed he did. All the places we went, all the friends we made and all the “firsts” we shared: my first puppy with points from the puppy class; First specialty Best of Breed winner; First dog with multiple group wins and placements; First Show Dog Hall of Fame; First trip to Westminster; First time competing in the GRCA Top Twenty; First GRCA national specialty JAM.
Freeman, you were always ready to jump in the car, my go everywhere buddy, my shadow, my heart dog. Tonya and Mark, thank you for sharing him with us, for all wonderful memories. For loving him as much as we did, and skillfully presenting him all over the country.
